Great tax Day

Everyone thinks their books will change the world. But what about inspiring others? Being an author/writer is more than just writing. It's about inspiring others. Heres my story.
I went to get my taxes done, I know everyone groan, I use the same person every year he is in his late 70's. He was talking about writing a book a couple years ago. I told him I was a writer/author and we talked for a while. The next year he was contemplating about the different avenues in which to publish and how much it cost. We talked more. This year I go there and he smiled. 'I published my book.' He goes to the drawer and pulls out his book. He tells me, if it wasn't for me, he would have never taken that first step and published. It's a boy scout book, with camp fire spooky stories. With all the legends and how the camp came to be. He was a boy scout at this camp. The camp is still open today, he made is money back and all proceeds go to the camp. He wrote an inscription to me and handed me the book. My husband was so proud and I was almost speechless. My books may not have changed anything, but being a writer did plus he saved me money on my taxes, *grin* That was a great feeling, me inspiring someone. Someone who indeed is very profitable in selling his book.
I guess it stems back when I first started out looking for answers, before I published. I asked an indie author a couple questions. Someone, everyone loves and I to loved her books. But she got snotty with me and made me feel like an idiot. Well dah! I have never done this before, I don't know what I am doing. I don't buy her books anymore either, just because of that fact. So at that point I decided I would never do that to someone else if they asked for help or information. And it has paid off.

Ready to go

My book, Blaze, Searing Heat is out for pre-order. My Nature's Repercussions Series are in edits. These are stand alone books. I am also working on another novel. I can tell I am over working my wrist. I am updating my websites and making sure all my links works. I am pulling some of my books off certain publishing sites, so the links will be invalid. So I have been quite busy the past few weeks.

Don't forget to get my lastest, Blaze, Searing Heat.

At least for a while. Fractured index finger (right) and steroid shots in both wrist. Painful healing. So that means a lot of reading.

Hello everyone,

I am laid off now for the winter, it's good and bad. Good for my writing bad for the finances. But all in all I keep busy. In Nov. 2014, I did the NANO (50k words in 30 days). I completed it before scehule plus I was till working!!! YEAH!!! SInce then I wrote another 40+k book. I plan on making another series. I have the series name already picked out and the 3rd book of the series in process.

My Christmas shopping is almost complete. Gifts wrapped and under the tree. I am planning on doing some painting and some winter cleaning. Allot of people do spring cleaining, but as for me, I am usually back to work and the hours are long. So when the lay off season comes it's winter. So for me it's winter cleaning.

Well that wraps up things for now. Have a great day and be safe...

I now have Trust in my Love out. Book 4 of the Max & Kate Series. I also wrote a Marksman Trilogy now available. For some reason amazon is taking thier sweet time getting them out for purchase. But they can be found most every where else.

NANO is coming up I am getting prepared for that. I also am planning on going to the write in on Nov 1st here in Bay City. Can't wait for that.

Work season is winding down, so that means alot of OT. Then layoff, which means more time for writing, can't wait..

Please leave reviews for the books you read. It helps the author. There is no need to get nasty if you don't like it. I have read reviews that blew my mind. I can't believe how people can be so rude. Simply say you didn't like it. No need to bash the author. It takes alot of courage to put your writing out there for others to read.

Working on a new book, short story. Romance/Suspense/Murder Mystery type book. Most of it's written. Now comes the edits and rewrites. I have a couple of titles in mind for it. But do I go with a romance title or a suspense title or murder mystery title. Have all three. But I need to decide. Then comes the cover. Still a lot of work to do on it.
